Takashi Murakami x Louis Vuitton Putipanda

As one of Japan’s biggest artists within the last few years, Takashi Murakami’s Superflat aesthetic has become a house-hold style in the contemporary art world. Seeing his work extend over multiple mediums thanks to extensive team-ups with Louis Vuitton, a recent coming together of the two powerhouse brands created a small collection of plush items. Murakami’s “Putipanda” features a colorful design over both a large-sized plush toy as well as a smaller mobile phone charm.

Everybody Knows VS Fredo

HUF x Converse

In a continuation of Converse’s humanitarian-based (PRODUCT) Red program, an upcoming participant will feature popular West Coast skateshop and brand HUF as they put together something based on the Skidgrip. The rarely seen high-top features the iconic red lace hole at the top alongside a relatively subtle, tonal monogram throughout the upper. A small white canvas triangle detail is also seen on the heel. No word yet on a release date.

Chanel Custo Motorcycle

Karl Lagerfeld was spotted this past week at the Chanel boutique on Rue Royale in Paris, shooting the press kit for Chanel’s pre-spring collection entitled Starting Point. The shoot was not only intriguing because of models Lara Stone and Baptiste Giacobini, but also because of the appearance of a custom designed Chanel motorcycle, customized for the famed fashion house in Toulouse, France.

YSL Bullet Cufflinks

These YSL cufflinks are the perfect way to incorporate some gangsterizim into your monkeysuit. My theory is that if I engrave my name into the links then i own the bullet with my name on it and therefore cannot be killed, make sense? Probably not but for $250 i’m buying good fashion and invulnerability. Wise investment

The future wheelchair?

The design of the Elevating Wheelchair is meant to restore a measure of equality when it comes to looking other people in the eye. Designed by Melbourne student Jake Eadie, the concept design hopes to change the way we see wheelchair-bound people by giving them a kind of equal footing in day-to-day body language situations.

The Elevating Wheelchair would have two modes, sitting and standing, and employ durable shock absorbers for rough urban terrain.
